Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains when and why cookies are used by phoenix-widget.com, Phoenix SAAS platform, Phoenix player while used by Phoenix subsidiaries / affiliates / publishers (collectively, “Phoenix”, “we”, “us” or “our”), on our websites, applications, advertisements and related services, including emails, newsletters and on certain partner and licensee websites that we do not own or operate but with whom we have agreements (together, the “Service”).

What are cookies and how long will it remain on my computer?

Cookies are files (containing identifying bits of text) that are downloaded to your browser as you surf the web. A web server sends cookies to a web browser and it is stored by the browser. The cookie content is being sent back to the server when the browser sends a page request from that server.

The most common types of cookies you may encounter are «persistent» and «session» cookies: a persistent cookie has an expiry date afterwards it will no longer be valid (until then, it will be stored by the browser, locally). On the other hand, a session cookie, will lose its validation once browser is closed. Our persistent cookies will expire between 30 minutes and 30 days from the date they are downloaded to your device. Phoenix does not generate cookies with personal details that identifies a user. We do, however uses cookies to improve your web experience while surfing our site. Cookies stored while surfing our platform are not shared or made available for processing by any external source and it is used with the end goal of improving our serving.

What types of cookies do we use and why?

It does not contain any personal information, nor can it be used to by anyone but ourselves and our third party service providers (who provide third party cookies).

These cookies remember that you and may share this information with third-parties, such as advertisers. Although these cookies can track your device’s visits to sites, they typically cannot personally identify you. Without these cookies, the advertisements that you see may be less relevant and interesting to you. We do not set advertising cookies through our technology ourselves, though advertisers and/or demand partners may choose to do so independently.
  • Social and Content — cookies are placed by many social media plugins (for example the Facebook ’like’ button), and other tools meant to improve sharing content on our website. We integrate these modules to improve the experience of browsing and interacting with our websites. Please note that some of these third-party services place cookies that are also used for things like advertising, analytics, and/or market research.
  • Third Party Cookies — some of the cookies on the Service are operated by third parties, such as Twitter, YouTube, Facebook or ComScore. Some of these third parties (for example third-party advertisers) may use cookies on the Service, in emails or in our advertisements on other websites to allow them to deliver the services they are providing. Some of the cookies operated by third parties may be used for analytics purposes, such as to monitor, analyze and prevent fraudulent traffic or other suspicious activities. To create a user-friendly experience, some of our third-party promotions and advertisements are designed to automatically transmit users’ information onto the third party’s landing page when you choose to “click” upon a third party’s advertisement or promotion. We do not control these third parties or their use of cookies. This means it is not possible for us to manage these cookies. This Policy only covers the use of cookies by Phoenix and does not cover the use of cookies by any third party. Some of these third-party cookies are not session based and have varying expiry dates.
